Welcome to Kentucky!!
We were super excited to visit Kentucky, even if it was only for a short time. We met up with Alex, Hunter’s childhood friend, and left on the morning of the 2nd for the Deer Run Stables in Lexington. For a few hours, we volunteered at the horse stable, helping clean the stables and dig holes for signs. Afterward, we got to go on a horseback riding tour through one of the popular trails
We then continued into downtown Lexington, where we met up with the founder of Breakout Games for lunch at The Vinaigrette, a popular salad bar for a business lunch and mentoring session. After lunch, we drove to the Breakout Games warehouse to demo their brand new escape room!! Spoiler, we didn’t do so well.. but we still had fun!
After the escape room, Brendon, Hunter, and Alex quickly drove to Red River Gorge for a quick sunset hike at Natural Bridge. On the way down, we visited the famous pizza place known as “Miguel’s”, where we each made our own gourmet pizza using the “pizza builder menu”.
We stayed at Alex’s house for an extra day to catch up on some editing, and after a skateboarding tour of the UK campus, we left to the airport on our way to Chicago!
See you in Chicago!!
