Let us explain…
Firstly, Yes. We really did sleep in a barn.. But there’s more to it! Before our trek to Michigan, we reached out to another influencer called @stoked_world. We pitched him this crazy idea: we fly to Michigan, meet up with him, and spend the next 2 days adventuring all around Grand Rapids. Keep in mind, we had never actually met each-other. But surprisingly enough, he said yes! So a few weeks later we arrived in GRR and to our relief, met another enthusiastic and adventurous individual like ourselves named Caleb!
Upon arrival, Caleb said to us, “By the way, I didn’t tell you this but we’re sleeping in a barn..” We literally laughed our loud, and then I said, “that’s awesome!”. Turns out Caleb’s barn is a sick hangout spot, and FREE!
The next day we met Caleb’s friend , Joe Eerdmans, who works in the family business of buying and trading; this man bought his first house at 17 years old..what have you done today? We all went and volunteered at Mel Trotter Ministries, then got to go on a spur-of-the-moment sunset boat ride on Lake Michigan!
You never know what kinds of crazy experiences you will face simply by trying something new and unexpected. This trip was a reassurance to Brendon and I to #seekdiscomfort and opened us to a whole new perspective with our project.
