The Grand Canyon is possibly one of the most famous natural landmarks in the United States. Tourists come from all over the world to witness the spectacular display of millions of years of weathering and erosion into what is now a near 2,000 mile stretch of canyon!! Therefore, the group decision was unanimous when we decided to take a trek to the North Rim to see it for ourselves.
When we first made our way into the park, we were greeted by a pack of wild buffalo herding across the road leading into the visitors center. Once we entered the park, we found a tavern with an outstanding 180-degree view of the canyon. We made a quick hike to a viewing point, and throughout the day continued to explore the expansive and remarkable canyon. that night, we settled into a cute little restaurant for dinner. And then afterward we went to the top of the canyon to find a campsite where we set up our hammocks and laid down for the busy morning to come.
